DC Vegfest, Sept 22 2012
The American Vegan Society is a sponsor and will be tabling at the DC VegFest Sat. September 22. Anne Dinshah will be on hand for a book-signing, and the star of The Clint Chronicle’s will be there too. AVS has a couple of volunteer spots to be filled for this event (call 856-694-2887.) The DC VegFest is an annual FREE outdoor festival celebrating the very best of everything vegetarian in and around the nation’s capital. With dozens of food, commercial, and nonprofit exhibitors, as well as several dynamic speakers and cooking demos, and a kids’ area, the 2012 DC VegFest will be held on Sat., Sept. 22 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Yards Park (10 Water St., SE) in Washington, DC. Vegan Fine Dining in South Jersey, Sept 25 2012
The American Vegan Society will host a Jersey Harvest Celebration Gourmet Dinner on Tuesday September 25 2012 at Carême’s Restaurant, the Academy of Culinary Arts, Atlantic Cape Community College, Mays Landing NJ. The public is invited to experience a meal of exceptional quality prepared and served by culinary students under the direction of their chef-educator. Please make reservations right away. 40th International Vegetarian Congress and Festival
October 5 to 14 2012 in San Francisco and then Los Angeles California
AVS president Freya Dinshah will be attending, as will AVS Council member Andy Mars for some sessions. Freya and Andy look forward to conferring with U.S. and International delegates. Further information about the event is at www.ivu.org
